Ali Merali was born in Kenya near the shores of the Indian Ocean and migrated to Canada at the age of 17.

Ali has diverse experience in the industry, from working in the lab manufacturing lenses, taking on complex contact lens fittings, training opticians and optometrists in the latest lens technology, managing optical clinics, and working as a passionate optician fitting glasses and helping his clients choose the latest styles.

With more than 30 years of experience, Ali remains customer-obsessed and driven by customer satisfaction. He strives hard to be the best in the industry and loves creating value for his customers. He is warm, hospitable, easy to talk to, highly skilled, and loves treating his customers like family.

Ali is a licensed optician with the College of Opticians of Ontario and one of their mentors, having trained and mentored many opticians. When Ali is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, biking, and the outdoors.

Dr. Sayyeda Mavani is from Edmonton, AB, and completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Alberta. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. Dr. Mavani received a great deal of training in specialty contact lenses, glaucoma, myopia management, and retinal diseases. During her clinical rotations, she trained with both pediatric and geriatric specialists in the Massachusetts area. She also participated in Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) and hopes to continue providing and promoting eye care for various populations in need.

Dr. Mavani practiced for 2 years in Alberta before moving to the Greater Toronto Area. Her areas of experience include glaucoma, dry eye, myopia management, and refractive and cataract surgery co-management. She has also started to implement vision therapy into her practice. Dr. Mavani strives to provide excellent patient care by keeping up with the latest technology and research.

In her free time, she enjoys travelling, cooking, spending time with friends and family, and exploring Toronto.

Dr. Syed Mohammed Moosavi was born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area. He completed his undergraduate studies at York University before attending Aston University School of Optometry in Birmingham, UK. He spent his final year of study in the historic city of Oxford, where he was an intern at both Oxford Eye Hospital and a local community practice focusing on primary eye care and ocular disease.

Upon returning home to Canada, Dr. Moosavi successfully completed the bridging program at the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry. He also completed optometric externships in Clarenville, Newfoundland, and Winnipeg, Manitoba, focusing on treating and managing ocular diseases like anterior eye emergencies, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. Since completing his clinical training, Dr. Moosavi has developed a special interest in retinal disease and myopia control.

Dr. Moosavi is licensed by the College of Optometrists of Ontario and is certified to prescribe therapeutic pharmaceutical agents in Canada. He is a member of both the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
